Renting a property through Foremost Lettings is made easy for you. All our fees are transparent, and we have dedicated staff on hand to provide you with any support and guidance you may need. Getting it right for you is important to us and we are here to resolve any concerns you may have when searching for and moving into a new home.
To Rent a property through Foremost Lettings you must be:
- 18 years of age or over
- Able to pay a deposit in advance (usually equal to one month’s rent)
- Able to pay a month’s rent in advance
- Pay an administration fee (for reference and credit checks)
- Provide photographic evidence to confirm your identity (current passport or driving licence)
- Provide evidence of your income (i.e. wage slips, contract of employment)
- Provide 3 months most recent bank statements
- Provide a recent utility bill (dated within the last 3 months)
When you have found a home you would like to rent, we will arrange for you to view the property, accompanied by a member of staff from Foremost Lettings who will be on hand to assist with any queries you may have. If you then want to proceed with that property, you will need to fill out our application form and pay a holding deposit of £100.00. (this is deductible from the first month’s rent) For us to proceed in carrying out all relevant checks an administration fee of £150.00 inc VAT for the first applicant and £90.00 inc VAT for each applicant thereafter will need to be paid in advance. We will then arrange for all credit and reference checks to be completed. Once this has all been completed and your application has been successful, we will confirm the tenancy start date and arrange to meet with you to go through the paperwork and for you to take ownership of the keys!
There are no ongoing or hidden charges in relation to the initial tenancy. A tenancy renewal incurs a charge of £30 inc VAT
We do also have properties that will consider applications from perspective tenants who are in receipt of benefits. Please contact us to discuss what would be required from you to proceed with a property.
We are also able to assist with other essential matters such as arranging removals, connection of appliances and installation of carpets and flooring. Our handy moving in check-list will ease any worries and stress which comes with moving home and information of everything you need to do and remember when moving will be supplied to you at the start of the tenancy giving you peace of mind.
